These Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms of Use”) govern the relationship between the company SCV Domaine Skiable (hereinafter “SCV”), operator of the ski lifts in the Serre Chevalier ski area, and any person (hereinafter the “User”) who:
- Uses a Transport Pass (hereinafter a “Transport Pass”) allowing access to one or more ski lifts operated by SCV; or
- Participates in an Activity (hereinafter an “Activity”) provided by SCV or one of its authorized agents.
By using a Transport Pass or participating in an Activity, the User unreservedly accepts these Terms of Use.

It is registered as an insurance intermediary agent under the number Orias 20000112.
ARTICLE 2. ACCESS TO THE SKI LIFTS
Transport Passes grant access to the ski lifts operated by SCV.
However, certain ski lifts may be closed, with or without prior notice, particularly for weather, snow, or public health reasons. SCV does not guarantee the daily operation of all the ski lifts it manages.
Access restrictions may apply to certain lifts depending on the User’s age, physical condition, or equipment. These restrictions are displayed at SCV sales points, on the website https://www.serrechevalier-pass.com/ (hereinafter the “Website”), and at the boarding points of each ski lift. It is the User’s responsibility to ensure they are not affected by such restrictions. Any User subject to a restriction will be denied access to the relevant ski lift, without the User or the person who purchased the Transport Pass being entitled to any compensation.
Access to a ski lift with a mountain bike is only permitted if the following conditions are met:
- The mountain bike is listed among the types of vehicles authorized by the operating regulations posted at the base of the ski lift;
- The User holds a Transport Pass specifically allowing mountain bike access. Passes issued for the winter season and, for the summer season, “Pedestrian” Passes, do not allow access with a mountain bike.
Access with a Pedestrian Pass is only permitted if the User is not carrying any transport equipment (such as skis, snowboard, sled, mountain bike, scooter, etc.), even if held by hand.
Transport Passes do not entitle Users to priority access at any lift. As an exception, Users with the “Enjoy” option benefit from priority access on the following ski lifts: the Pontillas, Prorel, and Ratier gondolas; the Bâchas, Bletonnet, Casse du Bœuf, Cibouit, Clôt Gauthier, Combes, Côte Chevalier, Croix de la Nore, Cucumelle, Eychauda, Forêt, Grand Serre, Orée du Bois, Prorel, Rocher Blanc and Vallons detachable chairlifts; and the Yrêt chairlift. Holders of a Mobility Inclusion Card (with “priority” mention) or a professional ski instructor card also benefit from priority access.
To ensure the proper transmission of encoded data at lift access terminals, the Transport Pass must be worn on the left side of the body and, ideally, away from mobile phones, keys, or any aluminum objects.
Non-emancipated minors must be always accompanied and supervised by an adult.
ARTICLE 3. PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES
The "Mountain Kart" Activity (offered in summer only) is open exclusively to Users who are at least 1.40 meters tall.
The "Deval’Bob" Activity (offered in winter only) is open exclusively to Users aged 12 years and over.
The "Downhill Scooter" and "Guided Electric Scooter Adventure" Activities (offered in summer only) are open only to Users who are at least 1.40 meters tall, and at least 14 years old for electric scooters.
For the "Giant Zipline" Activity, the User’s weight—or the combined weight of two Users riding the same zipline simultaneously—must be between 25 kg and 120 kg, with a maximum difference of 40 kg between the two Users.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory for all Activities.
Participation in an Activity involving the provision of equipment (e.g., scooter, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads) may be subject to the presentation of proof of identity. This proof will be returned after the equipment is returned in good condition at the end of the Activity. If the equipment is not returned or is returned damaged, SCV reserves the right to take appropriate action against the User.
The equipment provided as part of an Activity must be used exclusively on the designated trails for that Activity.
Non-emancipated minors must be always accompanied and supervised by an adult.
ARTICLE 4. COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES
The User must comply with the operating regulations posted at the departure points of the ski lifts operated by SCV, as well as with any instructions given by any member of SCV staff while using these ski lifts.
It is also recommended that the User follow the "Ten Rules of Good Conduct for Skiers" published by the International Ski Federation.
The User must comply with the health rules established by public authorities or by SCV in application of a public authority decision. The applicable health protocol is displayed at SCV’s points of sale and on the Website.
The User must refrain from any behaviour that affects or could affect the safety, health, or peace of other users, SCV staff, or SCV’s subcontractors (intoxication, verbal or physical abuse, consumption of tobacco, alcohol or drugs, vaping, carrying weapons, shouting, use of loud devices, etc.), especially in the departure and arrival areas of the ski lifts operated by SCV, as well as on the lifts themselves (pushing, queue-jumping, etc.).
The User must also refrain from damaging the equipment operated by SCV.
Failing this, SCV reserves the right to deny the User access to the ski lifts it operates, to report the User to any law enforcement officer with territorial jurisdiction, and to initiate any legal action against the User.
ARTICLE 5. INSPECTIONS
The User must be able to present to any sworn inspector:
- An original, valid Transport Pass authorizing access to the ski lift used.
- Where applicable, the original document(s) proving that they meet the conditions required to benefit from a reduced-rate or free Transport Pass or Activity.
In the event of a discrepancy between the information printed on the smart card carrying the Transport Pass and the information encoded in the chip, the latter shall prevail.
If the documents listed above are not presented, the User must pay the price of the Transport Pass that they should have held to access the ski lift used and/or the price of the Activity.
In the event of an inspection by a sworn inspector, the User must also pay a fixed penalty equal to five times the value of the Daily Pass. This amount is rounded up to the next euro.
If the User is unable or unwilling to pay this amount immediately, the sworn inspector will issue an official report. The inspector is authorized to record the User’s identity and address. If the User refuses or is unable to prove their identity, the inspector will immediately contact a law enforcement officer with territorial jurisdiction, who may order that the User be presented to them.
This procedure is immediately terminated if the User pays all amounts due as part of the settlement. The User has a period of three months from the date of the offense to pay the full amount due, including the Transport Pass price, the fixed penalty, and any applicable processing fees. The User may also, within the same period, send a reasoned objection to SCV.
If no payment or objection is received within the above period, the offense report will be forwarded by SCV to the Public Prosecutor, and the User will automatically be liable for an increased fixed fine, which will be recovered by the French Treasury.
A Transport Pass being used by someone other than its rightful holder may be confiscated by a sworn inspector and returned to the legitimate holder.
No penalty shall apply in the event of failure to present proof of booking for an Activity.
ARTICLE 6. NON-TRANSFERABILITY OF TRANSPORT PASSES AND ACTIVITY ACCESS PASSES
Transport Passes and passes granting access to Activities are personal and may not be transferred—whether for free or for a fee—to any third party. Any Transport Pass or Activity access pass that has been transferred in this way will be considered invalid.
By way of exception, the non-nominative Transport Pass with the shortest validity period and purchased at the highest public rate is transferable. However, the new holder of the Pass must meet the conditions established by SCV (in particular, any applicable age requirements) to benefit from it. If the transferred Pass includes the “Enjoy” option, that option will be available to the new holder.
ARTICLE 7. LOSS OR THEFT OF A CHIP CARD
In the event of loss or theft of the smart card on which the User’s Transport Pass or Activity access pass is encoded, and provided that the Transport Pass or access pass was purchased from SCV, the User must report the loss or theft at an SCV Sales Outlet. They must then provide:
- If the Transport Pass or Activity access pass was purchased from SCV, the original proof of purchase for the Transport Pass or access pass. For purchases made on the Website, the proof of purchase is the order confirmation email;
- If the Transport Pass or Activity access pass was purchased from an SCV agent (reseller, travel agency, etc.), the number of the smart card on which the pass was encoded;
- The date of purchase of the Transport Pass or access pass;
- The payment method used;
- The start date and duration of validity of the Transport Pass or access pass.
A new Transport Pass or Activity access pass will be encoded onto a new smart card for the remaining validity period of the original pass. If the User had selected the “Enjoy” option, it will be carried over to the new pass.
The lost or stolen smart card will be immediately deactivated and can no longer be used, even if later found.
For Transport Passes invoiced based on the number of days used, any days used before the report of loss or theft will be charged to the purchaser of the Pass—regardless of whether they were used by the rightful holder or a third party.
If the Transport Pass was purchased from an entity other than SCV or its agents, the User must contact that entity to report the loss or theft.
As an exception, no replacement will be issued for:
- Winter Transport Passes with a remaining validity of less than or equal to three hours;
- Activity access passes that have already been fully used, even if used by someone other than the rightful holder.
- Activity passes valid for one or more days during the summer season.
If the User has lost or had one of these passes stolen, they must purchase a new one. They are nevertheless invited to promptly report the loss or theft to an SCV Sales Outlet so that the pass can be deactivated.
ARTICLE 8. DEFECTIVE SMART CARD
Smart cards on which a Transport Pass or Activity access pass is encoded must not be folded, perforated, broken, or placed near a source of heat.
In the event of a malfunction of a smart card, the User may present it at an SCV Sales Outlet. It will be replaced free of charge.
If the smart card was provided by an entity other than SCV or one of its agents, the User must contact that entity to obtain a replacement.
ARTICLE 9. PERSONAL DATA
Compagnie des Alpes (RCS Paris 349 577 908) and SCV, a subsidiary of this company, act as joint data controllers when processing personal data in connection with the use of Transport Passes and Activity access passes.
This processing is described in the personal data protection policy available on the Website and at SCV Sales Outlets.
The person whose data is being processed has the right to access their data, the right to have it rectified or deleted, and the right to restrict or object to its processing. These rights may be exercised by contacting SCV at the contact details listed in Article 10.

ARTICLE 11. DISPUTE SETTLEMENT
In the event of a dispute between the User and SCV relating to the validity, interpretation, or performance of the Terms of Use, the User may have recourse, free of charge, to a conventional mediation procedure or to any other alternative dispute resolution method.
The User may refer the matter to the Tourism and Travel Mediator (MTV – Médiation Tourisme Voyage, Service dépôt des saisines, CS 30958, 75383 Paris cedex 08, France – Tel.: +33 (0)1 42 67 96 68 – Email: info@mtv.travel), under the terms set out on the website https://www.mtv.travel, and within a maximum period of one year from the date of the written complaint submitted to SCV.
In the absence of an amicable resolution, the User may refer the matter either to one of the territorially competent courts under the French Code of Civil Procedure, or to the court of the place where the User was residing at the time of the conclusion of the contract or the occurrence of the harmful event.
ARTICLE 12. GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
The amount of greenhouse gases emitted by the ski lifts operated by SCV is as follows:
- 0.29 kg CO₂e for a non-“Pedestrian” Transport Pass valid for one day;
- 0.058 kg CO₂e for a “Pedestrian” Transport Pass valid for one day;
- 0.02 kg CO₂e for a Transport Pass valid for a single ride.
- 100% of the energy used by the ski lifts operated by SCV is from renewable sources (i.e. 6 g CO₂e/kWh).
